IT TEAM LEADER / NETWORK MANAGER

Salary: Starting at £38,644 (including Fringe allowance), progressing to £41,182)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 8.00-4.30pm, 4pm finish on Friday.
Holiday: 27 Days plus Bank Holidays
Longdean School is a modern, well-equipped school, built in 2017. Scholars’ Education Trust focusses on the use of Digital Technology in and outside the classroom, developing an innovative educational experience. Having joined the Trust in Dec 2023 Longdean is in the process of introducing the Trust technology and processes. Notably we are currently rolling out iPads to teaching staff and all pupils to enhance the learning experience.
We are now recruiting an IT Team Leader to help with this journey. You will need a problem-solving ethos and be able to work without supervision, although guidance and support is available.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Provide 2nd line IT Support for Staff and Students including:
· Line manage the onsite IT/Media Technician.
· Manage the day to day running of the network, servers, PCs/Laptops, Active Directory.
· Ensure that the staff ICT Support requests are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner (using a helpdesk system).
· Support the iPads program, build, manage via Intune, send for repair etc
· Maintain ICT infrastructure and systems, roll out updates, monitor alerts etc
· Advise on development of school processes and the IT service.
· Ensure the Teaching and Learning needs of the school are met.
· Build relationships with the staff and manage urgent requirements.
· Communicate to All Staff about issues, new rollouts and changes.
· Escalation of complex issues to 3rd line support.

The Asbestos Log for the school/academy is kept in the Site Manager’s office and all staff are free to consult it at any time. If you have any queries please see the Site Manager.
You will be asked to complete Child Protection (Safeguarding) and Prevent Duty training and it should be updated every three years.
