HR Officer
Scholars’ Education Trust, Central Office
based at Samuel Ryder Academy
Grade: H8
Hours: 37 hrs per week (less hours can be considered for the right candidate with a minimum of 32 hrs per week)
Contract: Permanent, Term-time + 1 week INSET + 1 week in the summer holiday
Working pattern: Monday to Friday or compressed over 4 days*
Actual annual salary: starting at £25K to £29K, depending on contractual hours
* Working days are a pre-requisite to meet the needs of the post and unfortunately not negotiable; flexibility can be given about start and finish time.
About us: Scholars’ Education Trust was founded in 2012, and consists of over 10 schools across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. We are a cross phase trust providing a high-quality education for nearly ten thousand children between the ages of 3 and 18. Within our family of schools we have nurseries and first school, primaries, an all-through school, secondaries and an extended secondary.
Role Overview: Due to the expansion of the Trust, we are seeking to appoint an organised and self-motivated HR Officer with proven interpersonal and administrative skills to work within our Central HR team. Under the direction of the HR Manager, you will assist with wider HR functions across the Trust and support the team of HR professionals in providing HR support to all Trust schools. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: overseeing the recruitment and appointment process, maintaining personnel records, completing HR returns, maintaining HR MIS systems, and supporting the HR Manager in day-to-day activities.

You will be asked to complete Child Protection (Safeguarding) and Prevent Duty training and it should be updated every three years.
